Open Hardware Repository

Seven Solutions is an active partner of Open Hardware Repository (OHR, www.ohwr.org), as designer, manufacturer and distributor of different platforms being developed in this open framework.

Licensing

All our open hardware development are published under the CERN license (CERN OHL)

  • Publish everything needed for review, modify or produce
  • Persistent license.
  • It requires that manufactures inform designers of dates and quantities of production.

Advantages

  • Peer-review of designs to improving reliability
  • Design re-use
  • Healthier relationship between companies and scientific centers.

Experience

As designer, Seven Solutions is currently developing the White Rabbit Switch board (V3) conjointly with the group of Hardware and Timing Section at the CERN and also in collaboration with University of Granada in the test/benchmark issues.

Seven Solutions was also the designer of the Wishbone Serializer core (http://www.ohwr.org/projects/wb-serializer-core) whose specifications were defined by the Hardware and Timing group at CERN. A project to establish a transparent Wishbone bridge between two FPGAs using high-speed serial links.

As manufacturer and distributor, Seven Solutions is currently manufacturing the Simple PCIe FMC carrier (SPEC) board. First series of production to the CERN will be delivered in November 2011.

NOT ALL OPEN HARDWARE DESIGNS ARE THE SAME! By adopting Seven Solutions, you will also sign for the guarantee of quality. Take advantage of our long experience and expertise in the manufacturing process to obtain the best service in each step: PCB fabrication, assembly, testing, etc.
