About Us
Seven Solutions is composed of a group of engineers and doctors in the area of information technology with a long experience in R&D and technology transfer.
Our engineers have a solid background in complex system design based on programmable logic devices (FPGAs), microcontrollers, DSPs, and development and manufacturing of high-performance processing platforms.
Chronology
- 1995
- Researchers of the Computer and Technology Department of the University of Granada start up a research line focused on neuromorphic engineering, designing and evaluating diverse integrated circuits and their application fields.
- 2001
- The research Group CASIP (Circuits and Systems for Information Processing, JA-TIC117) participates actively in EU projects:
- ECOVISION (Artificial Vision Systems Based on Early-Cognitive Cortical Processing)
- SpikeFORCE (Real-time spiking networks for robot control)
- Our activity is focused on the development of real-time processing (vision and robot control)
- 2005
- Seven Solutions S.L. starts up as a spin-off of the University of Granada, motivated by the know-how transfer from research activities addressed in the framework of EU research projects (such as ECOVISION and SpikeFORCE).
- 2006
- The first developments of Seven Solutions are used by different EU research groups in the framework of EU projects of the VI framework:
- DRIVSCO (Learning to emulate Perception-Action Cycles in a Driving School Scenario)
- SENSOPAC (SENSOrimotor structuring of Perception and Action for emergent Cognition)
- Seven Solutions develops diverse customized electronic systems for companies dedicated to industrial automation.
- 2007
- Seven Solutions develops platforms with diverse sensors and actuators for labs at the University of Granada
- Seven Solutions develops a specific purpose «IP cores» for image processing tasks.
- Seven Solutions develops its first interactive software platform (Visual Interact) customized for Telefónica I+D.
- 2008
- Seven Solutions gives a brand new advanced VHDL course for the Andalusia Astrophysicist Institute (CSIC).
- Seven Solutions commercializes its first line of products: Xircav4 co-processamiento boards, SERBA a portable image processing board and S400 a video processing board.
- 2009
- Seven Solutions commercializes the ViSmart FPGA board with Dual FPGA for video processing.
- Seven Solutions is subcontracted by IAA to develops the gateware for the IMAX project.
- 2010
- The video surveillance software «Advisor» is released for the University of Granada and installed with Vismart boards.
- Seven Solutions creates a new division called Seven Security focused on intelligent video surveillance.
- 2011
- Seven Solutions is involved into the RECOMP project to reduce the cost of safety-critical embedded system.
- The CERN hire Seven Solutions to design the White Rabbit Switch. A high performance enhanced PTP switch with sub-ns accuracy.
- 2012
- Seven Solutions gets more involved in the White Rabbit Technology with the design, manufacture, testing and support of various products such as the : White Rabbit Switch, SPEC, FMC DIO, Starting Kits, etc.
- 2013
- Seven Solutions has successfully closed RECOMP project with a safety and reliable platform using multi-core architectures for mixed-criticality application.
- The FMC TDC is now commercialized and support by Seven Solutions.
- The White Rabbit Switch is produced in large quantity with its stable version v3.3.
