List of the project realize by Industry for Science
Wishbone serializer is an open source «core» under the philosophy «Open Hardware» driven by CERN, which provides a transparent wishbone bridge between two FPGAs (Spartan6 family) using high-speed serial connections called GTP. Although this «core» has been developed for the board «VME carrier FMC» developed by CERN, it can be used and adapted to any Xilinx FPGA with high-speed serial connections.
This project involved the development of an embedded software & the HDL descprition for an FPGA to create capture module for two digital cameras. Then, an advanced processing (accumulative exposure, demodulation, loseless compression, …) has been implemented in the solar magnetograph IMaX who fly within the SUNRISE stratospheric balloon. The architecture developped consist of a processing board with 2 DSPs + 1 FPGA, connected to the two cameras and one embedded PC.
Seven Solutions has designed, in collaboration with the Schepens Eye Institut (Harvard University), an augmented reality device that can be used as aid for patients with a diverse variety of visual pathologies. «Low-vision patients» suffer from very diverse visual impairments and the visual restrictions evolve with time in many cases. The development of the real time image processing algoritms were done on a Xilinx's FPGA (Spartan 3).
Here a list of project executed for different industry. Description is coming soon…
